Sifton Motorcycle Products Inc.® was auctioned on Tuesday March 27, 2001 @ 11:00 A.M.  As we purchased before auction all the Sifton Racing cam master plates, all blue prints, 5 engines, scrap books and some other equipment from the last presiding owner and the rights to those profiles- don't be fooled. We left San Carlos Ca. With one 24 foot U-Haul and one full Semi-Truck & trailer full of Tooling, cam blanks and finished product and some machines. It took three semi's and 6 u-hauls from Oregon to Colorado and two months. WE DID NOT WANT TO PURCHASE THAT NAME.

Craig at Black Widow worked at the legendary Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson in San Franciso, CA (FRISCO) & Learned about Cams under the teaching of "Dema" Elgin in the mid 1980's and owned his own machine shop (3 of them during his current life time) While also attending De Anza colleges engine Hi-Performance under Dema Elgin & Gary Lewis and was a assistant teacher in the machine shop class and ground his first Harley camshaft for his panhead, a Harman & Collins California Highway Patrol Special. He & Dema Elgin also were grinding a lot of 911 & other Porsche cams for the SCCA circuit as well as cams for Barry Gerolamy (also known for his Harley heads) and several other top notch racers and engine builders nation wide just as Black Widow cams does today. Dema Elgin was very close friend's with both Ed Winfield and Clifford Collins while he worked there & both were graduate engineers and new a lot about air flow and thermodynamics. Craig picked up more knowledge than than most Harley guys when it comes to cams and high performance engine blueprinting and will probably forget more than some will ever learn. Craig also was a journeyman machinist of I.A.M.Bay area union local.  Before moving to Oregon he was working shop foreman for Rex Hutchinson racing engine out of Sacramento Ca. doing sprint car engines and off shore alcohol boat motors while Rex's son Glen was on the road as tuner for the racing team of  Pete Jackson. Also a former teacher at MMI in AZ. as Engine Re-build and performance instructor working with Ron Bull and several other instructors that he remains in touch with still teaching @ MMI till moving to Littleton Colorado where he and his wife Victoria Lockwood reside. Victoria is active in the machine shop as well as drag racing her 883 (she says it's only a little 883). Craig has mentioned a man named just Harvey who has been another inspiring person in his life. More later

Black Widow Cams possesses all the original Harmon & Collins roller masters along with the original Tom Sifton master cam collection and machines.  Within the last 15 years, we have acquired over 1060 masters for both flat tappet-O.H.C. & roller.  All of these masters were bought through private sale of owners of the former camshaft companies.  We have a master maker to make our own profiles as well as improve on older profiles.  With three cam grinders  we have what it takes to do your cams.  We will continue the high standards that we live by "limited Production", which means a better product for you!
